This week Denon have announced an addition to the growing number of stand alone blu-ray players with the planned release of the high end 3800BDCI in the US this autumn. With a full HD enabled 1080p screen, the LE37M87 is one of the smallest with a 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution. This enables the panel to map a 1080i source such as Sky TV exactly, pixel for pixel onto the screen with the potential for a far superior picture than an LCD which has to scale 1080i to fit. It will be interesting to determine whether the 37in screen can actually make use of the extra pixels to produce a noticeably better picture. >> Full Story

With a 'specialist' feel about it, the Pioneer PDP-508XD can feel a little intimidating. Persevere however, and you have what is in our opinion the best performing flat screen out there.
