Philips 7605 LCD TV

Inheriting many of the high end features found on their outgoing 9 series, the Philips 7605 LCD series looks like pretty good value for a mid range offering - and they look absolutely stunning.

Although the 7605 gets the less sophisticated Pixel Precise HD engine rather than the Perfect Pixel HD engine of the outgoing 9-series, you do get Edge based LED backlighting, 2-sided ambilight, Net TV internet connectivity, Wi-Fi (with an optional dongle for £49.99), along with DLNA certification.

Elsewhere, there are 4 HDMI inputs along with a response time of 2ms. You also get 4 trillion colours, 100Hz processing and HD Natural Motion for ultra smooth Full HD.

Philips have indicated that their 7 series LCD TVs are some of the most eco friendly yet, using around 40% less power than previous screens.

Interestingly, Philips are offering an optional bolt-on Freeview HD box for all of their 2010 LCD TV's; allowing consumers to make the decision.

So what can we expect from the 2010 9-series and 8-series from the new 7-series? Well, the big feature of Philips' high end 2010 LCD TV's will be 3D capability. We expect Philips to reveal their high end TVs at this years IFA (Europe's biggest consumer electronics show) in Berlin this September.

The 7605 series from Philips comes in 32in, 37in, 40in and 46in sizes and is available in the UK now.
