BT vision gets Sony Movies

BT Vision is set to become a lot more interesting with the addition of Sony Movies. The tie up will see a huge range of films becoming available through BT's IPTV platform with the likes of 'Terminator Salvation' set to become one of the highlights.

Sony film titles through BT vision will be available on a pay-per-view basis with no mandatory package subscription. As well as recent blockbusters, BT are promising a huge selection of library films curtsey of Sony.

Chief Executive of Television and Online Services at BT Retail, Marc Watson, stated: “We’re delighted to reach agreement with Sony Pictures so that we can offer BT Vision customers many exciting films and classic hits from one of Hollywood’s best and most respected studios".

BT vision has seen a slow but sure improvement in popularity with around 425,000 current subscribers, up from 400,000 at the end of 2008. The addition of Sony movies content is likely to see BT maintain that steady increase in viewers.
