LG's LH90 range of LED TV's is comprised of 42in, 47in and 55in panels which all benefit from a 200Hz refresh rate and THX certification.
THX display certification has been designed to set a benchmark for flat panel display performance, with tough criteria to meet in the shape of brightness, contrast and video processing for a home theater level of video reproduction.
LG's range of LED TV's offer a Full HD 1080p resolution and as a result of LED-array backlighting claim an impressive 2,000,000:1 contrast ratio. An ambient light sensor enables automatic backlight adjustment to suit the current level of room lighting.
ISF-calibration is also available which enables an ISF-certified calibration technician to professionally calibrate an HDTV using ISF parameters related to individual home theatre environments and in particular, ambient lighting.
The LH90 series gets TruMotion 240Hz processing (which is the equivalent of 200Hz on UK models) along with four HDMI ports and USB port for MP3 and DivX playback.
The LH90 has been launched in the US priced at $3,199.95 (£1,935), $2,399.95 (£1,451) and $1,899.95 (£1,149) for the 55in, 47in and 42in models respectively. Although LG have not released any firm dates, expect them to arrive soon on UK shores.
