With the launch of their 19in Bravia S5700, Sony are now giving consumers the opportunity to enjoy some of their latest hi tech technology on a smaller screen.
LCD TV's for occasional use in the bedroom, kitchen etc have been growing in popularity for some time, but very few offer the king of hi tech wizardry found on bigger screens. The majority of sub 22in panels get by with limited connectivity and a lesser incarnation of the particular manufacturer's image processing technology.
This is set to change with the S5700 which will come with the latest incarnation of Sony's renowned 'Bravia' picture processing engine, Bravia 3. The new screens will also offer one of Sony's latest colour management functions, Live Colour along with a 1366 x 768 Resolution, HDMI, Ethernet and USB 2.0 connections.
Looking more like the latest monitor offering from Apple, the S5700 looks quite stunning and will add a touch of funky style to that occasional viewing area. The new screens will be available in pink, mocha, silver and white and will break with Sony styling tradition by bringing a lot more curves to the design.
More details on the S5700 are a little thin on the ground at the moment but they should be available to UK consumers within the next few months.
