Adding to an extensive range of flat panel TV's for 2009, Panasonic have introduced their entry level S10 series of LCD's.
Early indications are that the S10 offers compelling performance for the price - in particular, Panasonic's new IPS Alpha panel (common to all 2009 Viera TV's) along with Vreal Pro 3 picture processing helps to produce excellent standard definition pictures.
Nice to see a Full HD (1920 x 1080)resolution on an entry level screen and the potential for some stunning High Definition pictures with the inclusion of Panasonic's Vreal Pro 3. Vreal Pro 3 has been optimized for the Full HD resolution.
Elsewhere there are 3 HDMI inputs, a claimed 50,000:1 contrast ratio and a wide (178 degree) viewing angle. Panasonic have added an SD card slot while 'Eco' mode adjusts the picture to suit ambient lighting conditions.
