

Not only are Panasonic's DMR-BS850 and DMR-BS750 destined to become the first Blu-ray recorders on UK shores, they offer the exciting prospect of built-in twin Freesat tuners.
The Freesat aspect of the new decks offers the tantalizing prospect of High Definition recording via satellite. In addition, Freesat+ compatibility gives you the option of watching one programme while recording another.
Both of Panasonic's Blu-ray recorders feature built-in hard disc drives, the BS850 and BS750 offering 500GB and 250GB capacities respectively. Although details are a little sketchy at the moment, both machines will offer rudimentary editing and basic archiving functionality.
Panasonic's drive towards internet connectivity on some of their flat panel TV's is carried through to their new Blu-ray recorders which will feature 'Viera Cast' technology. Panasonic's take on web access offers a growing number of sites, RSS feeds and more interestingly, access to YouTube and Picasa.
Panasonic's DMR-BS850 and DMR-BS750 Blu-ray recorders are due to arrive in the UK this winter - no prices have been released as yet.
