More HD content comes to Apple UK iTunes store

Apple iTunes have done their bit to satisfy High Definition hungry UK consumers with a whole host of new HD content.

Although much of the new High Definition material is composed of US series such as Battlestar Galactica, Grey's Anatomy, Lost, Ugly Betty, Dirty Sexy Money, there is a smattering of UK based content with the likes of Channel 4's 'Skins'.

The HD content is available in 720p format, encoded as H.264 media, with prices between £1.99 and £2.49 per episode. Seasons packages start at £24.99 and Apple have announced that they will allow Standard Definition versions of the new content to be downloaded to iPhone or iPod touch for free.
