Panasonic demo ultra slim Plasma

Panasonic have unveiled a prototype plasma which measures just one third of an inch (8.8mm) thick.

Designed to be wall mounted or suspended from a ceiling, the 50in plasma supports Wireless HD, which can transmit full High Definition video, audio and control signals wirelessly.

Unfortunately the ultra svelte screen is more about displaying Panasonic's technological prowess and is unlikely to be launched anytime before 2010 if at all.

Also previewed at this years Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas however, Panasonic's one inch thick high end Z1 plasma is destined to reach consumers by the summer of 2009.
