LG gives Plasma a shot in the arm

Contrary to many commentators predictions plasma seems to be staging a comeback in the flat panel arena. The Korean manufacturer LG along with the likes of Panasonic, Samsung and Pioneer are at the forefront of the renaissance.

With the recent introduction of the PG7000 series LG have signaled their commitment to plasma technology. With 50in and 60in variants, the PG7000 sports Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution screens along with 4 HDMI's, built in Bluetooth, 100hz and a stylish Frameless design.

Another new addition to the LG plasma stable comes in the shape of the PG6900 range. Available in 42in and 50in sizes the PG6900's feature 160GB Hard Disk Recorders. Being Freeview+ certified, and having the ability amongst other things to pause and rewind live TV these panels are fully fledged PVR's (Personal Video Recorders).

LG are even challenging LCD on their own patch with the launch of the 32in PG6000. A panel with ultra stylish frame-less design, 100Hz, Dual XD Engine and 4 HDMI's which is hoping to steal back sales long since lost to LCD.
