Pioneer Limited Edition KRP plasma

Pioneer's ultra slim KRP 'Kuro' range of plasma TV's will be offered as the limited edition KRP-500AW in pure white and the KRP-500ABG in "richly nuanced Beige Grisé".

Jim Catcheside, product manager for Pioneer's home business division stated; "With these limited edition Kuro plasmas we want to offer customers the opportunity to customise their viewing environment even further by harmonising their TV with their interior design,"

Pioneer's KRP series comes in the shape of the 50in KRP-500A and 60in KRP-600A. Pioneer have packed their impressive flat screen technology into a package which comes in at just 65mm deep.

The svelte profile of the 50in KRP-500A and 60in KRP-600A is achieved through the use of a separate media receiver. This receiver sports an impressive four HDMI, three Scart, Composite,  Component, two antenna terminals, Ethernet (giving you the option to stream video from a PC on your home network), USB 2.0, PC along two common interface slots.

Ideally suited for wall mounting, the KRP series uses a single 3m (10m optional) cable which connects the screen to the media box

The new screens are almost identical to Pioneer's recently launched LX series, with Full HD resolutions along with 100Hz processing. Light and colour sensors are additional features however and enable these panels to adapt the picture to suit the ambient lighting and colour environments. If you want to view images in their raw unadulterated form, 'Pure AV mode' bypasses all of the set's picture processing wizardry.

The limited edition KRP models will offer optional colour-matching swivel stands, stereo side speakers and wall bracket. They are due to arrive in UK stores from November, retailing at £2850.
