LG PG7000 'infinite black' Plasma

In what looks likely to become the next must have  technological feature, LG have introduced their PG7000 plasma models with a 1,000,000:1 'infinite contrast' ratio.

Whether LG has come up with something truly revolutionary remains to be seen and we have to admit to a certain amount of skepticism as the likes of Pioneer are only just prototyping screens with 'infinite blacks'.

The PG7000 offers 50in and 60in models, both with ultra sleek frameless design and Mark Levinson's tuned invisible speaker system. The innovative acoustic setup uses the entire screen as a sounding board.

Both screens are  Full HD Ready to 1080p, and feature Bluetooth for uploading digital photos or for listening to the TV remotely on a wireless headset.

Features also include LG's take on 100Hz, fluid motion technology and the latest incarnation of their picture processing engine, Dual XD Engine. Four HDMIs are joined by a USB 2.0 port.

LG's PG7000 plasma screens are available in the UK now.
