Apple iPod Nano goes ultra slim
MP3 | Friday 12th Sept 2008
Described by Apple's Steve Jobs as the "thinnest iPod ever" the new iPod Nano
comes in at a very svelte like 6.2mm.
The “fourth generation” nano is available in nine colours
featuring a 2in (320
x 240) screen display and is available in 8GB or 16GB capacities.
Apple usually has a trick up its sleeve when it launches a new product and the new Nano is no exception. The "shake to shuffle" feature allows users to give this Nano a quick shake to change songs.
The new iPod Nano picks up the very useful built-in accelerometer from the Touch which changes the screen orientation if you flip the device horizontally or vertically
for photo or video viewing.
The 'Genius' feature creates playlists based on a single
chosen song, filling it with similar tracks from your music
library. Apple are claiming that the nano will provide 24 hours of audio or 4 hours of video on a single charge.
