Samsung 8 series LCD TV's adds a touch of blue

Capitalizing on the popularity of their 'Crystallized' Rose-Red finish 6 series LCD TV's, Samsung have now used the same manufacturing process on their forthcoming 8 series to create screens with a subtle hint of blue.

In fact the new 8 series comes in the shape of the 850 which retains the rose red finish while the 860 TV's have the new hint of deep blue. Both lines feature 40in, 46in and 52in screens with Full HD panels along with 100Hz processing.

At just a shade under 4.5cm thick the 8 series present a svelte like profile which unlike other slim screen offerings house all of their connectivity within the same unit. Other manufacturers do indeed have slimmer screens but employ a separate media receiver to house many of the internal workings.

Being DNLA-enabled the new screens offer simple wireless streaming as part of a home network. A useful USB 2.0 port allows you to view your digital photos and videos on the big screen.

No word yet on when the 8 series will arrive in the UK or likely prices.
