Marantz have unveiled details of their first foray into the Blu-ray player market. The BD8002 is likely to cost around £1500 when it hits UK shores later this year.
With 10-bit colour processing along with 36bit DeepColour and HDMI 1.3a interface the BD8002 looks like it has the spec to justify the price.
Add to the mix support for on-board Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Digital Plus along with DTS-HD Master Audio and the BD8002 begins to look like a seriously attractive proposition.
To round things off quite nicely the BD8002 features the acclaimed Silicon Optix Realta chipset.
