IP enabled plasma from Panasonic

The electronics giant Panasonic are claiming that their forthcoming PZ850 range of IP enabled plasma TV's will be a technological world's first.

Panasonic's range topping Z850 series of plasma screens introduces 46in, 50in, 58in and 65in IP enabled TV's which will provide direct access to online content from services such as YouTube.

VIERA CAST technology, through an easy to use interface will allow TV viewers to browse, locate and watch free videos from YouTube and view photos from Picasa Web Albums.

Merwan Mereby, Vice President, New Business Development, Panasonic Consumer Electronics said "Panasonic’s cooperation with YouTube and Google’s Picasa Web Albums exemplifies our commitment to leading the natural evolution of the Internet and extending it to the High Definition television."
