Master Quality Audio and Video from Pioneer
Digital Film Direct

Enabling consumers to recognize products which offer the truest home cinema experience, Pioneer has launched its "HD Digital Film Direct: 24 frames per second (fps)" standard logo.

Pioneer are attaching this logo to all of their products which handle 24fps movie content accurately, so that what you see and hear is absolutely true to the original film.

Many consumers are unaware that Regular PAL broadcasting and DVD play movie images back at 25 fps (frames per second) whereas these films are typically shot and encoded at 24fps for cinemas. With the 25fps format images are effectively speeded up and the pitch of sounds and voices is raised.

Pioneer are attaching the 'HD digital film direct 24' logo to all of their products which are able to faithfully reproduce the sound and images of films exactly as they first appeared in cinemas.

The logo has already been applied to Pioneer's latest Blu-ray player, the BDP-LX70 and will appear on their new range of Plasma flatscreens.
