The M87 range from Samsung features Full HD enabled 1080p screens with a 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution (apart from the 32in, 1368 x 768 model). This enables the panel to map a 1080i source such as Sky TV exactly, pixel for pixel onto the screen with a potentially far superior picture than an LCD which has to scale 1080i to fit to a smaller resolution screen.
The M87 range also sports Samsung's 'Super Clear Panel' which has been designed to boost contrast ratio and improve colour reproduction.
The Samsung M87's are available in 32in, 37in, 40in, 46in and 52in sizes and can be sourced from the internet for around £500, £900, £1100, £1300 and £1800 respectively.
Movie Plus, another proprietary technology featured on the M87 range, has been designed to eliminate a bug bear of LCD TVs, motion judder, and to speed up response times and produce a sharper picture for gamers the LE40M87BDX sports 'Games Mode'.
