Toshiba adds to its growing HD DVD stable
Toshiba HD-EP10

With its range of affordable HD DVD players, Toshiba has done as much as any manufacturer to bring the High Definition experience into the home.

With its HD-EP10, Toshiba has added a third player to its growing stable, and with 1080p playback for under £400, the latest addition looks like quite a thoroughbred.

Toshiba’s HD-EP10 joins the impressive HD-E1 and HD-XE1 players, delivering exceptional full HD images with the ability to upscale standard definition discs to 720p, 1080i and 1080p.

The HD-Ep10 comes with support for high definition audio formats, Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby True HD and DTS HD, although only 5.1 rather than 7.1 channels are supported.

The HD-EP10 sports an HDMI, composite, S-video, and component output. All Toshiba HD DVD players come equipped with an Ethernet port enabling them to access additional on-line content features.

Olivier Van Wynendaele, Deputy General Manager, HD DVD, Toshiba Information Systems(UK) Ltd said “Toshiba’s HD-E1 and HD-XE1 set benchmarks in high definition home entertainment, both in terms of performance and value for money and the HD-EP10 raises the bar yet again. We want consumers to experience the highest HD resolution currently available at a price that’s right for the market - and that’s exactly what the HD-EP10 achieves".
