Philips unveil their first Blu-ray players

Philips have introduced three Blu-ray players into the UK, the high end BDP7300, the BDP5000 and BDP3000 which are all capable of outputting 1080p video at 24fps and upscaling standard DVD's.

The flagship BDP7300 can decode all of the high definition audio formats including DTS Master Audio, Dolby TrueHD. Philips have also included their cutting edge video 'cleaning' technology which focuses on artifact and noise reduction.

All three machines can play the major video formats and also add support for WMV, DivX, MP3 and JPEG. The BDP7300 can also playback AVCHD high definition footage from HD video cameras.

Philips' new Blu-ray entrants are all BD-Live capable giving them the potential for full on line interactivity. The BD-P7300 features 1GB of on board memory for full support and use of BD-Live.

With their new Blu-ray players Philips are aiming to: 'push the boundaries in picture quality and sound experience.' All three machines are available in the UK now.
